Welcome to the Marsh Area Chamber of Commerce

The Marsh Area Chamber consists of businesses from Horicon, Mayville, Kekoskee, Iron Ridge, and Theresa located at the Southern end of Horicon Marsh. These communities combine to being the City and Gateway to the Marsh.

Horicon, Wisconsin, is known for the Horicon Marsh, a haven for wildlife and outdoor adventures. Rich in history, the area’s name comes from the Mohican word meaning "clear water."

Founded in 1845, Mayville grew with iron ore discovery and became known for its innovations and historic downtown, which still thrives today.

Theresa, Wisconsin, founded in 1848 and platted by Solomon Juneau, is rich in history, with early elections, the Rock River bridge, and the Theresa Fire Company as key milestones.

Kekoskee, which merged with the Town of Williamstown in 2018, is rich in history, from the Van Brunt family's early settlement to the Schwarze family's 150 years of farming.

Iron Ridge is located in Dodge County South of Mayville. The Village was formed along a railroad line for iron mined in the area.

Horicon Marsh is a 33,000-acre wetland that was carved out by glaciers thousands of years ago. In the 1990’s the Marsh had been named a “Wetland of International Importance” by Ramsar Convention of the United Nations. The Marsh supports more than 300 species of birds and other wildlife species.

With the Horicon Marsh in the backyard, the Marsh Area Chamber has numerous outdoor activities for everyone. Every year in the spring and fall thousands of birdwatchers’ flock to the area to view migrations of birds. You can enjoy strolling through the many hiking trails through the Marsh. A person can canoe, kayak or take a tour of the Marsh to enjoy the wildlife. There is fishing and hunting available as well.
