About the event
Explore Mayville’s industrial roots at the Carriage House Museum, open on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, May through October, from 1:30–4:30 PM. Once the home and workshop of wagon-maker John Hollenstein, this historic site now houses exhibits showcasing handmade wagons, sleighs, and carriages produced right on-site.
The museum also features a vintage bank interior, military displays, a dentist’s office, printing press equipment, and many artifacts marking Mayville’s rich history. Housed in the original factory on the corner of Bridge and German Streets, it’s a must-visit for history buffs and curious minds alike.
